The T.M.X. Tickle Me Extreme Cookie Monster

The T.M.X. Tickle Me Extreme Cookie Monster

Tickle Me Cookie Monster is every bit as charming and fun as his popular friend, T.M.X. Elmo. When you touch his belly, this plush 11-inch doll falls backwards and giggles as he rocks back and forth. He even gets back up on his own! With googly eyes and soft blue fur, this Cookie Monster doll is cute, huggable, and a great toy for young children. Tickle Me Cookie Monster performs best on a hard, flat surface and requires six AA batteries (included) to bring him to life.

The T.M.X. Cookie Monster features silly gyrations followed by humorous phrases. This motorized doll is so soft, kids can pick it up, snuggle with it, then put it down and watch it wiggle. The T.M.X. Cookie Monste only takes two tickles to send Cookie Monster into hysterical laughter and kids soon find themselves giggling along. This doll has an incredible likeness to the actual Sesame Street character. Parents can add to the fun with T.M.X. Elmo or T.M.X. Ernie, sold separately.

Part of the new Tickle Me Extreme friends, Tickle Me Ernie is every bit as charming and fun as his popular friend, T.M.X. Elmo. When you touch his belly, this plush 11-inch doll falls backwards and giggles as he spins in a full circle. He even gets back up on his own! Dressed in his signature striped sweater and red shoes, this Ernie doll is soft, huggable, and a great toy for young children. He comes packaged in a cute cardboard carrying case with a handle at the top and a cutout to poke his ticklish tummy. Ernie performs best on a hard, flat surface and requires six AA batteries (included) to bring him to life.

Giggles are impossible to resist with the popular "Tickle Me" pals. Touch their bellies to send them into uncontrollable fits of laughter accompanied by funny phrases. Press Ernie's belly and kick around on the floor while laughing and blurting out hilarious comments -- then watch your preschooler do the same! Requires 4 "AA" batteries, not included. Measures 11" tall.

During the tickle test, it became easy to see why the T.M.X. friends are in such demand. When kids tickle Ernie's belly, he falls backwards, then lies down and spins in a circle. True to character, he is full of fun phrases including, "I think I need a rubber ducky." Once the laughing spell is over, he even thanks the tickler, saying, "I really needed that." The doll moves best on a hard, flat surface and struggles a little when placed on carpet. But that was the only minor setback discovered during the hands-on testing process. Overall, T.M.X. Ernie makes a great toy for its target age range. Even adults will crack a smile as Ernie shakes and spins with laughter.

Elmo TMX for Christmas

Using sophisticated engineering, Fisher-Price has created a 14-inch laughing dynamo. This Elmo represents the best in toy technology with an astounding ability to replicate the way it looks when uncontrollable laughter shakes your belly and causes you to drop hysterically to your knees. Adults and children alike are mesmerized by this Muppet's capabilities.

In fact, since the Elmo TMX debut on Good Morning America in September, parents have hounded retailers to re-stock their shelves with more of what Toys 'R Us experts have dubbed the "Hot Toy" of 2006. Although it retails for $39.99, collectors are selling it on Amazon.com and eBay for over $200. In fact, many believe that after 'Black Friday' (the day after Thanksgiving) the toy will be unobtainable for under $500.

Elmo TMX (the X stands for X-treme) is all about action! Consumers want to laugh with Sesame Street's giggling fun fellow. Sit TMX Elmo down and hit one of his three "tickle" spots. There's one under his chin, one on his belly, and one on top of his foot. This Elmo wiggles as he did 10 years ago, but then Elmo grabs his belly, falls forward, stands back up again only to fall over backwards, kicks his legs over his stomach, and then stands right back up, all while laughing hysterically.

This year's Elmo TMX will surely be one of the hottest toys of the Christmas shopping season and will be a collector's item for years to come. The Elmo's have sold out at stores like Toys R Us and WalMart across the country. Store often have their entire inventory sold out within the first 10 minutes of restocking the shelves. Regional managers have reportedly said Fisher-Price is out of the Elmo TMX dolls for the rest of the holiday season and that the end of October was their last push of their inventory.

It goes to show what an amazing toy this is when so many people can appreciate its design and technology. It was almost instantly dubbed a Toys R Us 2006 "Hot Toy" and was also added to the 'Fabulous 15' - Best of the Holiday Season list. Combined with a lot of hype and. Combined with a lot of marketing hype and brand recognition from the Elmo TMX predecessor, Tickle Me Elmo, Fisher-Price has yet again provided an amazing toy for the Christmas shopping season.

Tickle Me Elmo is popular!

Tickle Me Elmo is popular with kids of all ages and the biggest kids of all ... parents! I've always been partial to red-haired people, so naturally I fell in love with Elmo; his hair (faux fur) is the reddest of the red! He's handsome, hilarious, and a big holiday hit! It's a joy seeing everyone laugh and have a good time with him.

I remember going from store to store in 1996 before managing to get the first incarnation of Elmo for my kids. I had to make five trips to only succeed in getting four Elmos, and I had to be pretty creative (sly) in getting the fifth one. It happened like this: I was out to breakfast after church with a friend and wasn't expecting to go shopping, so didn't bring my credit cards or much cash. As luck would have it, we passed a store that advertised they had Elmo in stock. When we went in, there was only one left. I grabbed it, then asked my friend to hold it while I returned home for my money. While waiting, she carried Elmo all around that store, with everyone she met trying to talk her out of it (even offering her more money than it cost). My friend held out until I returned with the money, and Elmo was mine ... er ... the kids!!!

Now, ten years later, this new Elmo, the most secretly guarded toy of this Christmas Season 2006, is a vast improvement over the first one: Three different tickle spots trigger rounds of infectious laughter and movement (see above description for more hilarious details). And best of all, the 6 required AA batteries are included. (No unexpected trips to the store on Christmas Day. ... YAY!)

Playing with this toy is a real delight, setting a happy mood for the entire Christmas Day. I join America in looking forward to the giggles and snickers on Christmas morning when the kids open their ELMOs. Of course, I won't see all of my kids open theirs since they're in their own homes now (with their own children), but we now have two of our grandchildren staying with us, so their laughs will brighten our day aplenty! And I'm certain some of the kids will bring their ELMOs with them when they arrive for Christmas dinner at "Grandma's."

Get your very own ELMO while it's not too late! But, actually, it's never too late for laughter, so if you miss getting Elmo for Christmas, he'll still be laughing ... ALL YEAR LONG.

Tickle me Elmo doll

Remember the old tickle me Elmo doll? Well, this is the same thing, only with a little more action. Same laugh, same old red Elmo, just with a little kick, and tumble added to him, so why is everyone willing to go broke to get one? I think kids can wait until all the hoopla is over and get one at a real reasonable price, not paying over the regular forty bucks, which is the regular price for this toy. Come on America, don't fall into the same old thing as the last time Elmo was a hot hit. I waited the first time, and got the Tickle me Elmo after Christmas for ten bucks, when they were asking over a hundred for that one too! Teach your kids to have some patience and make them wait. I'm sure if you told them they had to spend their own money, they would wait for sure!!! He's a cute toy, but he's not made out of gold. He's certainly not the last one they will make either.
